I drink green tea
I'm Joseph C Kim and I drink green tea. I believe there are health benefits associated with drinking green tea, but you don't want to drink too much. Otherwise, it could be harmful. Green tea could prevent some cancers. Green tea could help prevent other diseases. I enjoy the taste of green tea. I also like the fact that it does not have too much caffeine.

I'm convinced that kimchi is causing stomach cancer
It's a conspiracy. Kimchi is causing stomach cancer. Korean officials know this. But, kimchi is a national symbol. Plus, Korean doctors and hospitals need the business. Kimchi is causing stomach cancer and the Korean people should know this!

Kimchi causes cancer
I'm still not convinced. Does kimchi really cause cancer? Why would it still get sold in stores? Wouldn't someone pull it off the shelves? I'm Dr. Joseph C Kim and I still eat kimchi.

Joseph C Kim
I'm Joseph C Kim and I love eating Korean food. I ate some great noodles and dumplings today. Delicious! I miss being able to walk out of my apartment and grab a tasty bowl of Korean noodle soup.

You are what you eat
Do you ever wonder where this phrase came from? You are what you eat. Sounds a bit silly, doesn't it? If I eat a ton of carrots, will I turn into a carrot? Well, in a way - yes. Your skin will turn a shade orange, but you have to eat a ton of carrots.
So, we are what we eat. I like to eat a lot of ice cream, so you can expect me to melt in the summer.

Health and our diet
We are what we eat, right? Well, sorta. Maybe. It depends on what you're talking about. We know that our diet directly impacts our health. Do certain foods cause cancer. Yes. Do certain foods cause heart disease, obesity, and liver failure? Yes.
So, how much can we change by modifying our diet? I think that's the big question and the answer depends on your genetic makeup and your risk for certain disease.
In general, Korean men are at high risk for stomach cancer. Compared to the rest of the world, Korean men get stomach cancer at very high rates. So, Koreans need to stop smoking, they need to cut back on alcohol, and they probably need to make some changes to their diet if they are to reduce their risk. Bacteria like H Pylori can be treated with antibiotics. H Pylori is known to cause stomach cancer. Other risk factors need to get modified.
